Day 1 – Albuquerque
Arrival, hotel check-in, Welcome Dinner

Balloon Fiesta: Dawn Patrol, Mass Ascension, Old Town, Balloon Glow

Day 3 – Albuquerque → Santa Fe
Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, Los Alamos Bradbury Science Museum, arrive Santa Fe

Day 4 – Taos
High Road to Taos, Chimayo’s El Santuario, Taos Plaza shopping, Taos Pueblo tour

Day 5 – Santa Fe
City tour: Plaza, Loretto Chapel, Palace of the Governors; free time; Farewell Dinner

Day 6 – Albuquerque
Return flight home

Activity Level 3: Moderately Active Pace – Active walking daily, some hiking, uneven terrain, hills, and steps. Less rest options available. Explore LA: Your Day, Your Adventure

Note: Cost includes transportation/snacks, NOT museum entry fees/meals

Spend the day exploring Los Angeles at your own pace with convenient round-trip transportation from San Diego. The bus will drop participants near the La Brea Tar Pits, within walking distance of popular destinations including the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, LACMA, the Petersen Automotive Museum, The Grove, and The Original Farmers Market. Enjoy museums, shopping, dining, and sightseeing before returning to San Diego that evening.

Please note: Program fees include round-trip charter bus transportation between the San Diego Old Town Transit Center and Los Angeles, as well as complimentary bottled water and snacks. Program fees do not include meals, museum admission fees, or personal expenses.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Travel programs are excluded from the Global Campus’s standard refund policy and refund exception (special consideration) process due to the unique financial obligations associated with travel-related expenses, including contractual commitments with third-party vendors.

Cancellations received on or before September 25, 2026 (at least three weeks prior to departure) are eligible for a full refund minus a $25 nonrefundable fee.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after September 25, 2026.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to osher@sdsu.edu.

If Osher at SDSU cancels the trip, participants will receive a full refund of all program fees paid.

Discover Oaxaca: A Cultural Journey

Immerse yourself in the history, culture, and traditions of Oaxaca during this five-day educational travel program. Explore the vibrant streets of Oaxaca City, visit the ancient archaeological sites of Monte Albán and Mitla, browse colorful local markets, meet skilled artisans, discover the traditions of chocolate and mole-making, and enjoy a mezcal tasting. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to experience Oaxaca’s renowned cuisine and rich cultural heritage at your own pace.

Please note: Program fees include hotel accommodations for the advertised travel dates, scheduled in-country transportation (including airport transfers in Oaxaca), and admission to all activities listed as included in the itinerary. Airfare, meals, personal expenses, and any expenses incurred before or after the scheduled program dates are not included.

By registering for this travel program, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the program information, understand the activity level and travel requirements, and agree to complete all required participant forms, including the Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver, prior to departure. All participants are strongly encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance.
