Maxine Van Doren

Maxine Van Doren is a voice-specialized speech-language pathologist and assistant professor at California State University, San Bernardino. Her research focuses on the linguistic function of voice quality and the production and perception of creaky voice. She received her bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles, master’s in speech-language pathology from Boston University, and PhD in linguistics from the University of California, San Diego.
