Tom Oberbauer

Thomas Oberbauer has life long interests in the ecology of San Diego County with concentration on native plants.  He has a B.S. and M. S from SDSU in Ecology. He has a strong interest in the rare and unique plants of San Diego County, Baja California and its adjacent islands.   He has written articles, taught classes and led field trips for the San Diego Natural History Museum, Southern California Botanists and California Native Plant society for the last 50 years and made YouTube videos on the Pacific Islands of Baja California.   He grew up near McGinty Mountain and has spent many days exploring the Cuyamaca mountains.
