Discount Policies
State Credit Programs
These are for-credit academic programs offered through SDSU Global Campus in collaboration with SDSU colleges and departments These include degrees and advanced certificate programs, professional development credit (under 100-level) courses and certificates, and stand-alone courses offering Extension or Special Sessions credit. They follow standard Global Campus tuition and fee structures.
Discount Policy:
- No discounts are currently offered for State Credit programs.
State Non-Credit Programs
Non-credit educational offerings that are administered by SDSU Global Campus but are part of the State-side structure. These include professional development, personal enrichment, and workforce training courses that do not award academic credit.
Discount Policy:
- A 20% discount is available to:
- Full-time employees of SDSU (including State, RF, KPBS, and auxiliaries)
- Veterans, active-duty service members, and their immediate family members
- SDSU Global Campus instructors – eligible during the term they are actively teaching, and for two additional consecutive terms thereafter (e.g., if teaching in fall, eligibility extends through fall, spring, and summer)
- SDSU Lifetime Alumni members
- Full-time employees of SDSU (including State, RF, KPBS, and auxiliaries)
- Group Discount: 10% off for groups of 3 or more from the same employer
- Custom Programs: These are priced based on market conditions and are not typically eligible for discounts
SDSURF – Internal Programs
Non-credit programs Global Campus runs through the SDSU Research Foundation. These are often specialized professional certificate programs or continuing education offerings.
Discount Policy:
- A 20% discount is available to:
- Full-time employees of SDSU (including State, RF, KPBS, and auxiliaries)
- Veterans, active-duty service members, and military dependents with valid military id
- SDSU Global Campus instructors – eligible during the term they are actively teaching, and for two additional consecutive terms thereafter (e.g., if teaching in fall, eligibility extends through fall, spring, and summer)
- SDSU Lifetime Alumni members
- Full-time employees of SDSU (including State, RF, KPBS, and auxiliaries)
- Tuition-Free Option for Global Campus Full-Time Employees:
- SDSURF – Internal programs may be taken tuition-free on a space-available basis. Note: employees cannot be counted toward course enrollment minimums or used to determine whether a course runs.

- Group Discount: 10% off for 3 or more from the same employer
- Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Membership:
- $30 discount on annual membership for SDSU Retirement Association Members
- $10 discount on annual membership for SDSU Alumni Association Lifetime Members
- $10 discount on annual membership for each member residing in the same household (must have same address linked to member account)
Program-Specific Discounts:
Meeting and Event Planning (valid through fall 2025 semester)
- Alumni: 10%
- SDSU Lifetime Alumni: 20% (supersedes 10% alumni rate)
- Early registration: $20 off if registering 10+ days before course start
Cohort price
- 5–9 students: 5% discount
- 10–19 students: 10% discount
- 20–29 students: 20% discount
- 30–39 students: 30% discount

SDSURF – Third Party Programs
These are programs offered in partnership with external organizations and managed through the SDSU Research Foundation. These include Ed2Go, ThriveDX, Coursera, and others. Program structures, costs, and delivery vary depending on the third-party partner.
Discount Policy:
- Discounts are negotiated on a case-by-case basis due to the unique nature of each partnership.
- No standing discount rates apply other than the following:
- Coursera Career Academy is tuition-free for Global Campus full-time employees
