DEIA+ Inclusive Excellence Award
SDSU Global Campus | Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Council
About the Fund
Founded in 2025 with an inaugural $50,000 gift from SDSU Global Campus, the DEIA+ Inclusive Excellence Endowment Fund creates a permanent source of financial support for students who champion inclusive excellence. Earnings from the principal are awarded each academic term to help recipients cover tuition, textbooks, technology, and other course-related expenses.
Mission
- Expand educational access by removing financial barriers.
- Reward students who actively foster DEIA+ on campus or in their communities.
- Cultivate a lasting culture of philanthropy within SDSU Global Campus.
Aligned With SDSU’s Strategic Plan
In alignment with the next phase of our campus-wide strategic plan, We Rise We Defy: Transcending Borders, Transforming Lives, SDSU Global Campus will spend the next several months evaluating progress toward the goals outlined in its 2020 diversity plan. We will also be planning the next iteration of the plan to align with the university’s second phase of the strategic plan, for the 2025-2030 period. Watch this space for updates and connect with our Diversity Council or Diversity Liaison to get involved!
At SDSU, our diversity gives us power and benefits every single member of our community. Consistent with California law and federal civil rights laws, SDSU provides equal opportunity for all in education and employment. We encourage all members of our community to purposefully learn from one another through open and respectful dialogue and responsible engagement. We strongly preserve the right to free expression and encourage difficult conversations that help lead to improved individual and community learning and cohesion.
