Extended Studies Center: Facility Choices

The Extended Studies Center (ESC) offers a variety of facility choices, including seminar rooms with SMART podiums, computer labs, multimedia rooms, the Osher Seminar Room, and the Sycuan Conference Room for your event. For additional information, please contact us at (619) 594-2539.

Seminar Rooms

The ESC offers six seminar rooms, all including SMART podiums.

  • Single or dual ceiling-mounted data and image projection systems with speakers
  • Flexible seating arrangements
  • Fully carpeted rooms with sound dampening walls or wall coverings

SMART Podiums

Rooms equipped with a SMART podium provide presentation aides. All SMART podium rooms have single- or dual-ceiling-mounted data and image projectors and speakers. A complimentary training session is included for first-time CES SMART podium users, and on-site technical assistance is available while a SMART podium is in use.

  • Electronic whiteboard for writing notes, annotating PowerPoint presentations, highlighting web pages, etc.

  • The SMART podium adds the capability to simultaneously display two images on separate screens

Computer Lab

The ESC Computer Lab features workstations with cushioned seating, an instructor PC, and two networked printers. Arrangements can be made to load additional software for instructional purposes.

Multimedia Room

The multimedia room features a SMART podium and provides the utmost versatility in event design, delivery, space, and comfort.

Osher Seminar Room

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Seminar Room contains a SMART podium and furniture that provide multiple options for professional seminars, conferences, or meetings.

  • Executive furniture that provides comfortable, flexible seating

Sycuan Conference Room

The Sycuan Conference Room accommodates up to 10 participants in a plush, high-tech executive setting. A large picture window and picturesque balcony overlook the San Diego State University campus and provide a nice finishing touch to the Sycuan Conference Room.
